Rules: describe the answer to one of the unanswered questions up thread. You must also add one extra setting element, and no more than two questions to be answered. You may not post two times in a row. Don't just post to say "awesome!" add something to the thread. Feel free to link it up around the interwebs to get more people playing.

I will start.

Some time far in the future two separate alien fleets enter the solar system mid battle. Through their maneuvers they accidentally end up  bombarding the Earth with fallen battle ships and stray projectiles. On the verge of extinction humanity looks to the skies knowing the surviving fleet will determine their fate...

What types of technology has humanity reached, and has any survived?

What does the surviving alien fleet do?
