I thought that maybe there is a chance someone is already working on a setting for this.  I would love to see this microlited as the original supplement is out of print.

Could have sworn there was a WoT RPG, which would be a good place to look.

Like the book will you quickly get them into the plot and then lead them around the block for 10 years? Smiley I absolutely hated this series..

Marz.. I don't hate alot.. and I gave that guy 7 books to convince me he actually knew how he was going to end the series. Then it became pretty obvious he would rather spend his time describing what women were wearing, 7 pages at a time than to actually complete what he started and he died before he did. I have hopes for the series now that Brandon Sanderson is going to finish it.

I know I've read some of those...

refresh my memory of the books... was it the ones with the seeker that had a father who had those inquisitor chicks, that for some reason changed sides, and the seeker guy went to go kill his father.. in a very round about way?

Ah, youre thinking of Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind, a lot of the stuff in that series seems inspired by WoT.

yeah probably ...  I know I read one or two books, in between reading the previous stated series.

As long winded as they were, I had a hard time getting fully into them. Well, I know I liked the tales, just it really didn't stick in my memory to well I guess.

sword of truth and Wheel of time are the most railed against in RPGforumsnet. Wot not so much nowadays due to Jordan being recently deceased.  I really don't understand what is so bad about those series.  What are your favorites in fantasy/sci-fi?

Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin.. But if I had a favorite that wasn't Tolkien it would be the Belgariad and The Mallorean.
