I jumped right in and dragged my war mount with me.

So wait, if you lose your exo-skeleton do you die? Or do you have an...innie-skeleton too?

You're halfling dude is different but I'm sure we could FLAILSNAILS him into our game when we get started. Mtypes running, Operation Chessman, right now so maybe after that we can get some LL time in.

Yeah, Operation: Chessman-37 was supposed to be a one-shot, but it got extended a bit.  I have no immediate plans to continue it, so LL time sounds great.

No. It's just a sort of temporary armor. If I fail my save vs. death ray it just falls off.

Good man.  Always live for the action.
My character before that died something like this:
Quote
DM: a huge thing begins to rise up out of the mound of sand.
Other Players: Run away!
Cleric #2: Don't look back, you'll be turned into a pillar of salt
DM: does anyone want to look back?
Other Players: No! Run away!
Me: I look back and flip the thing the bird.
DM: Save vs. Death Ray.
Me: Fail. What happens to me?
DM: Nothing that you notice immediately.
Me: Does it cause fear or something like that?
DM: I'm not telling.

Later That Night

DM: You see some sort of strange fibers or tubers growing out of the sleeping halfling's body.
Cleric #1: I kill him right now!
Fighter #1: I help!
Cleric #1: I keep hitting the body long after it has begun to resemble ground beef!
Mage: When the noise wakes me up, I shoot him with my phaser!
Fighter #1: Then I throw burning oil at the corpse and his goat!
DM: As you smash the body, a bunch of black maggots wriggle out of it.
Fighter #1: Burning oil!
Dang- I just told you about my character, didn't I?

Sorry to send you to the blog but it has a general overview of FLAILSNAILS and more importantly a link to the original blog presentation of it including its charter or conventions (rules)

Just scroll down to the second blog post entitled "The OSR, FLAILSNAILS, 20 Questions and You"

http://rolltocarouse.blogspot.com/

Great addition to the OSR community and really any edition or game if you can make it work. Those OSR community keeps coming up with great stuff.

One of the best FLAILSNAILS posts is Jeff Rients' conan = you.

Flailsnails seems perfect for m20 since every session is basically each persons personal patchwork of house rules.

Anybody heard anything good about the Microscope game? The premise sounds cool.. The game IS the world builder. Once its done you can then bring it back into the game of your choice.

I read the guy's blog, so I hear his pitches. I'm buying it, personally, once I get a check cashed.

I wonder how they would feel if you played a game online? It sounds like a hoot and maybe a great way to flesh out a shared campaign setting.

Crose, I am so sorry- I just played in another game, and my character died. I got a new guy, but if anything he's wierder- I think it's probably best if I just roll up a new character, and keep him away from that campaign as long as Stonehell lasts.

Sure thing, that's okay.
