Some of you may have noticed a spike in somewhat spamy ads, and one really inappropriate one that I nuked. The reason for this is because project wonderful adspace detection bots were having issues finding the ad units on the site so I switched to AdBrite. As with project wonderful I’m going to be slowly but surely weeding out the crap, so things like the specialty weapons shop, and eve online can shine through.

While the advertising does help out with the hosting, and will help get some nice art for the Sin20 setting I’d rather not display non relevant ads. Anyway just wanted to give a quick heads up and let you guys know that I appreciate your patients while I clean up the ad que.

Thank you for your diligence, sahib.  It's appreciated.  As a note: I've got AdBlock turned off for this site, but I'm still not getting ads at the moment.  If I should be, there may be a problem with the new wares hawkers.

The only thing I can think of is that since the ads are actually being pulled from AdBrites network it might be adbrite that you are blocking not here. Either way thanks for the effort  Grin.

Saw a pretty raunchy one about 'Russian Girls' when I first logged in today. According to the ad they really like western men.  Grin

Damn those Russians they seemed so nice, but alas the ban hammer it is for them lol. Even though they pay decent the teeth whitening, and make money ads are just to much I am going to start thinning those out too.

Seth.. Add 'Busty Russian Women' to the list of ads that should probably be blocked.. not that there is anything wrong with Busty Russian Women but its probably not really appropriate for this site Smiley

Yup just caught it. Less and less things to be blocked every day is a good sign. I do appreciate everyone who pointed out the busted Russians Wink.
