Thudwacker: it is totally sweet how you have gotten your family into gaming and have motivated your li'l one to beg to do math! Natural 20, my friend.

p.s. while Deadlands is a sweet world, The D20 adaptation is not worth the money, or time it takes to adjust weird mechanical things that the writers did (i don't think they really "get" d20 at a fundamental level).

Toon from steve jackson games. I Know it's a bit dated but the PDF just went up in their webstore and i just can't resist. The first thing i'm gonna do is make a halloween type supplement for it. Ghosts, vampires, mad scientists....That sort of thing. i love the spooky looney tunes cartoons and i believe this would be a fine way to spend an afternoon.

i've already got the opportunity to read the original document before hand and i fell in love with the system. i just hope my group does as well.

DC Adventures.

It's a simplified spin off of Mutants and Masterminds (which I guess makes it a 4th cousin to D&D... Cheesy....) How is is it? Well, superheroes isn't my favourite genre but the guy running it is cool and system seems to encourage a loose style of play (which I like) so we'll see how it goes. I've only just rolled up a PC and played a single game, mind....

A few sessions into Pathfinder and I will admit its about as crunchy as a kids cereal but I LOVE it! I guess we are playing the Serpents Skull campaign. We had a scary session involving some shocker lizards that almost induced a full party wipe and killed one of our characters. My advice.. when they drop out of a tree.. RUN LIKE HECK.. 2D8 damage PER Lizard vs reflex and even then its still half damage! But other than that its been a good time.

Seth.. yeah not sure I could DM a Pathfinder game..but its been fun playing.. I used a freeware tool called PCGen to help build my character and it worked like a charm.

Yea next month I will be running one of the adventures so the guy who has been running for around a year can actually play and am hoping it goes well. Luckily I've got the advantage of winging it from m20 and the gm screen is super amazing.

I haven't tried it yet, but I suddenly thought of mixing all the games from the Microlite 20 Companion together to make: M20 Rifts! It would probably work about as well as actual Rifts, but it would be fun... once or twice.
I see from previous posts that people have actually played using stuff I've written for M20. Thanks, it's really gratifying to hear (read) that.
